  1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms and Conditions.

    4. These website terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) govern the ordering, sale and delivery of goods and services and the use of this website and may change occasionally without notice.
    5. These Terms and Conditions are binding and enforceable against every person accessing or using this Website, including each user who registers by clicking on the “Register Now” or “Sign up” button on the Website, whichever may be applicable.
    6. By using this website, either as a registered user or by ordering a product from this website, the customer (“you”, “your” or “user”) agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. In participating in any of the activities mentioned at 1.5 above, including the purchasing of any goods or services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions

  2. Definition
    1. “Call Centre” refers to our customer call centre, telephone number +27 10 140 3287 (South Africa), alternatively you can submit your query by completing the query form in our “contact us” section on our website.
    2. “Customer” refers to any natural or juristic person who enters into or intends entering into an electronic transaction with Safe Alert Technologies as the user of goods or services offered by Safe Alert Technologies.
    3. “Goods” or “Products” efers to all the products or services displayed for sale on Safe Alert Technologies’ s Website.

    8. “Working days” refers to Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 09:00 – 16:00 and Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 09:00 – 13:00, excluding statutory public holidays in the Republic of South Africa.
    9. “POPI” refers to the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
    10. “PAIA” refers to the Protection of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000.
    11. “VAT” refers to value-added tax levied in terms of the Value-Added Tax Act, 89 of 1991, as amended.
    12. “SARS” refers to the South African Revenue Service.
  3. Use of the Website
    1. Only persons 18 years or older may make a purchase on this website.
    2. You agree that you will not use any device, software or other instruments to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of this website. In addition, you agree that you will not use any artificial intelligence (“AI”), robot, spider, other automatic devices, or manual process to monitor, copy, distribute or modify the website or the information contained herein, without the prior written consent from an authorised company representative.
    3. You agree to use the Safe Alert Technologies Website for lawful purposes only and you may not use the website to distribute material, which is defamatory, offensive, contains or amounts to hate speech, constitutes a political statement or is otherwise unlawful.
    4. The contents of this Website, including any information, software, icons, text, graphics, layouts, images, sound clips, trade names, logos and trademarks are protected by law, including but not limited to copyright and trademark law, and are owned by or licensed to Safe Alert Technologies.
    5. Upon registering on the Website, you will be required to provide certain access details, including a username and password.
      1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and the security of your username and password for access to the Website and you accept full liability for all activities that occur on or involves the Website under your username.
      2. You may not impersonate another user or any third party, nor may you provide false information to gain access to the website.
    6. You warrant your identity and that you can prove your identity should we require you to do so.

    8. You agree that in the event of any conflict arising between these terms and conditions and the Standard Terms and Conditions, that the Standard Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  4. Secure Shopping
    1. Safe Alert Technologies have partnered with PayFast, a leading online payment processor, to ensure that your shopping experience is secure and effortless.
    2. PayFast is PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant and has a multitude of automated and manual checks in place to protect both buyers and sellers from fraudulent transactions.
    3. Furthermore, PayFast use Extended Validation SSL with 2048-bit encryption, which is the highest level of encryption available, in addition to 3D secure, two-factor authentication, GEO IP tracking, validation checks, BIN/IIN validation and web application firewall to ensure that your online payment is as secure as possible.
    4. Safe Alert Technologies also accept payment by way of direct electronic fund transfers (“EFT”). You will be provided with the option to pay using PayFast or by way of direct EFT at checkout.
    5. Should you elect to utilise the EFT payment option Safe Alert Technologies will not be held responsible for any error made by you when entering our bank account details when effecting the EFT payment. In such an event, Safe Alert Technologies will also not be liable to provide you with any goods for which you erroneously or negligently made an EFT payment to an incorrect account.
    6. Safe Alert Technologies require that you furnish a proof of payment of the EFT payment via email and Safe Alert Technologies reserve its right to, in certain instances, wait for the payment to reflect in its account before processing your order.
  5. Shipping Policy
    1. We ship your products to you using one of our courier partners, depending on your shipping address.
    2. Our couriers deliver to your door, and usually within 5 - 7 working days.
    3. Every delivery gets a tracking number and tracking is available so that you can track the progress of your delivery at all times.
    4. The shipping charges are calculated by taking into consideration various factors such as your location or shipping address, the quantity and weight of products ordered and the speed at which you request the products to be delivered. This list is not exhaustive. Shipping charges may therefore vary from time to time and order to order.
    5. The shipping charges will be an additional charge on your order and is non-refundable once the order has been placed and/or shipped.
    6. We do not ship orders outside of the Republic of South Africa.
  6. Delivery
    1. The online Delivery and Returns Policy is incorporated by reference (which means that it automatically forms part of these Terms and Conditions).
    2. Due to the nature of the product, delivery options may differ per product, and not all delivery options are available for all items ordered.
    3. Delivery fees will vary depending on your selected delivery option and the items ordered.
    4. The delivery fee will be displayed during the checkout process and you will be able to track your order via the tracking systems implemented by the delivery service provider allocated.
    5. Upon delivery or collection a delivery or collection note will be issued.
  7. Warranties, Return and Refund Policy
    1. The Returns Policy is incorporated by reference (which means that it automatically forms part of these Terms and Conditions).
    2. Every product purchased comes with our Safe Alert guarantee, which guarantee will persist for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase of the product.
    3. You have 10 (ten) business days from date of delivery of the products to return any items which:
      1. You did not have an opportunity to examine before delivery and which do not meet a specific quality and/or intended purpose for which the product was purchased. Note that items bought at the store must be returned to the store of purchase not via another channel.
    4. To be eligible for any replacement, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
      1. Your item must be in the original packaging.
      2. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.
      3. Your item must not have been tampered with in any manner whatsoever.
    5. Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your replacement after inspecting the item.
    6. If your return is approved, we will replace the goods at our expense.
    7. When processing a refund, we will reverse the entire amount paid in the original purchase. This includes the cost of the goods and the VAT amount thereon but excludes the delivery fees in certain instances. Upon reversing the original transaction, you will be provided with a return slip and you shall not be entitled to claim VAT from SARS for the original, reversed transaction.
  8. Prices
    1. The prices displayed are inclusive of 15% VAT but exclude delivery costs.
    2. Though we endeavour to ensure that the prices displayed on the website are accurate, it is possible that erroneous prices may be displayed from time to time. In such cases, we shall not be obliged to sell the product at the erroneous price and will correct erroneous prices as soon as we become aware of them. Displaying a price on the website does not constitute an undertaking by us to maintain that price for any length of time.
    3. At any given time, Safe Alert Technologies may have promotions and specials that run in-store and online concurrently, other times, promotions and specials may be exclusive to either online or in-store only.
    4. Prices indicated online are not necessarily the same as in-store.
  9. Agreement of sale
    1. Placing a product in your trolley does not constitute an order for that product and we cannot be held liable if the product is no longer available, or if the price has changed by the time the checkout process is completed.
    2. An agreement of sale comes into effect when either a credit card authorisation is received from the issuing bank, or a bank transfer is reflected on our bank statement.
    3. We reserve the right to cancel an order at any point in time at our sole discretion. In this case, we shall be liable to refund any money already paid in respect of that order.
    4. Please note that due to the nature of our business and the types of products that we stock, our website will show a product as being available even if only one item is available for sale.
      1. If you require a larger quantity than is available, we may not be able to supply additional items at the same price, within the same time frame, or in some cases, at all.
